John Bello – Chairman of the Board Mr. Bello has served as Reed's Chairman since November 2016. Mr. Bello has served as Managing Director at JoNa Ventures and as Principal and General Partner at Sherbrooke Capital. Mr. Bello is also the Founder and former CEO of SoBe and served as President of NFL Properties, the marketing arm of the NFL. He earned a BA from Tufts and an MBA from Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College.
Christopher J. Reed – Director and Chief Innovation Officer Chris Reed founded Reed's in 1987. During his tenure, Mr. Reed has served in various capacities as the Company's Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer. In April 2017 he was named to the new position of Chief Innovation Officer. Mr. Reed has been responsible for the Company's design and products, including the original product recipes, the proprietary brewing process and the packaging and marketing strategies. Mr. Reed received a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York.
Val Stalowir – Director and Chief Executive Officer Mr. Stalowir has served as Director and Chief Executive Officer of Reed's since June 2017. Mr. Stalowir has over 25 years of experience driving accelerated growth and building brands in the food & beverage industry. Prior to joining the Company, he served as an independent food and beverage investment consultant working with varied consumer focused private equity groups. Prior to his work as an independent consultant, Mr. Stalowir served as Chief Executive Officer of privately held International Harvest, Inc., a leading supplier of certified organic, gluten free, non- GMO, vegan and raw superfoods. Mr. Stalowir also founded Global Restaurant Group, LLC (GRG) in 2011 and served as Chief Executive Officer in Kyiv, Ukraine, a privately held, international quick serve restaurant operator and platform that is now YUM! Brands' lead KFC franchisee in Ukraine. Mr. Stalowir has served in various management and development positions for companies such as APTA Capital, LLC, Preferred Brand Holdings, LLC, Tomra Systems, ASA, Coca-Cola Company and the Quaker Oats Company.
Mr. Stalowir earned his MBA in Marketing and Finance with Distinction from the University of Michigan and received dual BA degrees in Economics and Art History from the College of William and Mary.
Daniel J. Doherty III – Director Mr. Doherty was elected to our board in January 2018. He is a Principal of Raptor/Harbor Reeds SPV LLC and Eastern Real Estate, which he co-founded in 2000. Together with his longtime team, he has developed over 150 projects encompassing more than 15 million square feet valued in excess of $3 billion. Mr. Doherty is also an active investor and provides executive guidance and strategic capital to a diversified portfolio of growth stage companies. Mr. Doherty holds a Bachelor of Science – honoris causa from Tufts University and serves as Vice-Chair on the Tufts University Board of Trustees. He serves on the Tufts Medical Center Board of Trustees and is active on the Strategic Planning and Real Estate Committees.
Scott R. Grossman – Director, Chairman of the Compensation Committee Mr. Grossman has been a member of our board since September 2017. He is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Vindico Capital, a value-oriented investment firm focused on small-to-medium sized public companies undergoing change. Prior to launching Vindico, Mr. Grossman spent over eleven years at Magnetar Capital, a multi-strategy alternative asset manager with approximately $14BN AUM, where he most recently served as Senior Portfolio Manager within equities. Prior to Magnetar, Mr. Grossman was an associate at Soros Private Equity Partners and started his career at Merrill Lynch in its Financials Sponsors Group. Mr. Grossman is also a non-operating partner and current Board Member of Zeitguide. Mr. Grossman received an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business and a BA from Columbia University where he graduated magna cum laude majoring in Economics.
James Bass – Chairman of the Audit Committee. Mr. Bass was elected to our board in September 2017. He is a seasoned Senior Level Financial Executive with diversified management experience in the consumer products, high technology and entertainment industries. Mr. Bass served over 20 years in various positions at Sony Interactive Entertainment America, LLC most recently as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Bass also worked as controller for Wang Laboratories and in positions in finance and management at Bristol-Myers Squibb Company. Mr. Bass has his BBA in Accounting and Financial Management from Pace University and was awarded his CPA certification in New York in 1977.
Lewis Jaffe – Chairman of the Governance Committee Mr. Jaffe has been a member of the board since August 2016. Since 2014, Mr. Jaffe has been teaching as an Executive-in-Residence and Clinical Faculty at the Fred Kiesner Center for Entrepreneurship, Loyola Marymount University. Mr. Jaffe was Interim Chief Executive Officer and President of Oxford Media, Inc. Mr. Jaffe has also served in executive management positions with Verso Technologies, Inc., Wireone Technologies, Inc., Picturetel Corporation, and he was also previously a Managing Director of Arthur Andersen. Mr. Jaffe was the co-founder of MovieMe Network. Mr. Jaffe serves as Chairman of the Board for FitLife Brands Inc and on the Board of Directors of York Telecom. Mr. Jaffe previously served on the Board of Directors of Benihana, Inc. Mr. Jaffe is a graduate of the Stanford Business School Executive Program, holds a Bachelor of Science from LaSalle University and holds a Masters Professional Director Certification from the American College of Corporate Directors.
Iris Snyder – Secretary Iris Snyder has served as Chief Financial Officer of Reed's since July 2018. Prior to joining Reed's, Ms. Snyder was most recently Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for Stoli Group USA. Ms. Snyder headed up Finance and Operations, integrating several wine and spirits brands into the portfolio during her tenure. Prior to Stoli, she served as Finance Director for Chobani and held numerous financial positions in multiple divisions for Diageo Plc. Ms. Snyder earned her MBA in Finance Management & Strategy from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and received her BS in Industrial and Operations Engineering with distinction from the University of Michigan.
